Hi there, my name is Ashley. I’m a guest house host who love to meet new friends from around the world. In my free time, I enjoy exploring the city, the yum yum food, the local markets, the old architecture, the beaches, the beaten tracts, and often up to trying new things and playing tourist in my own backyard. I’m eager to share with you everything of this city I love!
As a daughter of a chef of Cantonese cuisine and a true gourmet, I grew up among my dad’s restaurants and all the other great places we constantly visited. It’s only amazing such a variety this city can provide! Not only local Cantonese, Chiu Chow, Hakka, Shanghai or Sichuan, but there’re also so many other authentic and excellent dishes of Thai, Japanese, Spanish, Italian, Mexican, Australian… I’m fascinated by people who devote on turning all the different ingredients into pieces of art. Trying new restaurants has always been my favourite “part-time”! My friends often joke that I’m a “human food map”.
I’m also a lover of nature, history, and culture. I know a lot of trails from hiking and biking and keep trying new ones. I love to dig into the stories of all the old architectures, and the knowledge behind the temples and monasteries. As much as I’d love to share with you everything about the city, I’d also love to listen to your story and together we can go anywhere in Hong Kong that might interest you!
