It’s been almost four years since I moved to Asia’s World City from Mumbai, India and it’s become ‘home’ faster than I could imagine!
Having traveled extensively in India as well as in 20 other countries, I have had the pleasure of interacting with people from all walks of life. I have also learnt that travel isn’t only about physically moving from one place to the other, it is also about being able to transport oneself into a different culture, a time period and maybe a whole new life!
In recent years, sharing economy services like Uber and AirBnb have really helped me be more ‘local’ and less ‘tourist’. I have been fortunate enough to have AirBnB hosts who have shown me around Queenstown, New Zealand, taken me along for a traditional Mexican wedding in San Francisco, cooked traditional meals for us in Da’ Lat, Vietnam and have helped me avoid long queues at Voodoo Doughnut in Portland, Oregon. These are the experiences that stand out the most in a box of glittering and twinkling travel memories.a
I would like to pay back the kindness strangers have shown me across the world and help you form ever-lasting travel memories by showing you around my city, my way.
