Dellon is the real deal. He knows Hong Kong like no other and added so much color and authenticity to our experience with his historical knowledge and insider stories. He planned quite the itinerary for us, taking us to New Territory, Monkey Mountain, Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery, Walled City and Temple Street. At each location, Dellon shared both personal and historical anecdotes that really brought the places to life. He also scores bonus points for the delicious home baked peanut buns that he brought to share with our group 🙂 I couldn’t recommend Dellon more highly!

Dellon was our guide around the old Walled City and Kowloon area- he is very knowledgeable of that area and not only pointed put sites and told us the history but added a personal flavour with stories of his family in that area. Would highly recommend and we would use again

Dellon took a group of seventeen of us to the Kowloon Walled City and around Kowloon. He was exceptionally knowledgeable about the history and culture — from the macro perspective to the minutiae of each location. He also supplemented each piece of historical fact with relevant personal anecdotes, which added a thoughtful and even more thorough perspective to each visit.

When weather took a turn for the worst, he was patient and flexible with our group and made best efforts to find appropriate solutions. I’d highly recommend working with Dellon again, whether for the Kowloon Walled City or any other part of historical Hong Kong.

We used Dellon again as our guide to Fanling. He took us to Ma Shi Po and then onto Fanling . He has so much knowledge of the area, telling us the history and at the same time his own personal stories. this was our second tour with Dellon and we will use him again and again as we continue to explore Hong Kong.
PS he even bought home made peanut butter buns for us and they were yummy!

Dellon took a group of four of us around the Kowloon Walled City. He was highly professional, well-organized and knowledgeable with a great attitude – he filled us in with plenty of history regarding the area and personal accounts of what it was like when he was younger, then afterwards dropped us off nearby in the Thai part of town where we stopped at a great place for lunch that he suggested. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a much better understanding of the history and background of the area.

Dellon was a wonderful guide for my overseas guests and I. He was the perfect narrator for our walk around the streets of Sham Shui Po. Dellon brought his personal history to this fascinating and rarely toured area of Hong Kong. He’s a fantastic storyteller with knowledge on a wide array of subjects. I was also very pleased to receive an email from Dellon the following day, with an article featuring the architecture and buildings we’d discussed during the tour. I look forward to our next walk with Dellon.

I’ve booked Dellon twice when passing through HK and I’ve enjoyed both outings. Both times I booked 4 hours and that amount of time seems to be a pretty good balance of getting to see and learn a lot without experiencing tour fatigue. My first outing was visiting a couple of the different public housing buildings in Kowloon and was rather interesting. Dellon grew up in the area and was able to weave together a nice story combining history as well as his experiences. My second outing was split between the Tsing Yi nature trails (with awesome views of the Tsing Ma Bridge — think SF’s Golden Gate!!) and the old walled city of Kowloon. The weather didn’t cooperate very well, however, Dellon was kind enough to bring us 2 umbrellas! Very much appreciated! I enjoy visiting different kinds of markets when possible and Dellon was always accommodating and leading us into random, unmarked markets as we walked the streets.

I’ll be sure to book another outing with Dellon when I’m back!

Dellon has been a great “cultural ambassador”! He walked us through Kowloon Walled City during a 2 hours tour, sharing plenty of stories, cultural facts and anecdotes. Thanks to his knowledge of HK history he was able to answer our questions and made the tour very interesting and entairtaining. He also adapted to our pace and stopped when necessary. I am already looking forward discovering another area of HK with Dellon.

I am a tour guide, working in the industry for over thirty years in Europe, North America, and Africa. However, Hong Kong was fairly new to me, and my wife and I wanted to see the real, older China beyond the designer stores and tourist glitz. Dellon took us, at my request, to Nan Lian gardens and then suggested a tour of the remains of a historic imperial village in the New Territories. He did a superb job showing us the historical underpinnings of Hong Kong and answered our questions fully and enthusiastically. We thoroughly enjoyed our six hours and would book him again on another visit in a minute.
